Definitions

 

igolping

Game with leader board where a player swings a golf club of choice to hit a golf ball closest to an electronic pin on a simulated 18 hole golf course. The ball is hit off of a synthetic hitting area and electronically tracked and analyzed in position to the electronic course. Least amount of strokes to the green and closest to the pin wins.

Practice Round

Choice of playing all 18 pins with the option to NOT record as an official game towards a player’s handicap index. Practice round allows mulligans.

Game Round

Choice of playing all 18 pins recorded as an official game towards one’s igolping handicap (i-GHIN)

Tournament Round

Choice of playing all 18 pins on a selected simulated golf course and timeframe in competition with other igolping players

i-Pin

The target for each hole

Stroke

A struck ball within the synthetic hitting zone while game is in play

e-Tee

Ball elevated to a specified height on the first stroke of a hole

e-mat

Non-elevated ball within the hitting zone

Par

Designated amount of strokes for a hole

Hole

Simulated fairways to a green with a pin, there are 9 in the front and 9 in the back for a total of 18 holes per Round

i-GHIN

igolping Handicap Index used to rate your level of play

Double Eagle

3 under par, scored as -3 for the hole

Eagle

2 under par, scored as -2 for the hole

Birdie

1 under par, scored as -1 for the hole

Par

0 under par, scored as 0 for the hole

Bogey

1 over par, scored as +1 for the hole

Double Bogey

2 over par, scored as +2 for the hole

Triple Bogey

3 over par, scored as +3 for the hole

Quadruple Bogey

4 over par, scored as +4 for the hole

Quintet Bogey

5 over par, scored as +5 for the hole …and so on

Mulligan

“Do over” on a stroke, only allowed in a practice round
