Least amount of strokes to the green and closest to the pin wins! | 1. | The ball must be placed in the designated hitting area for each contact with the ball | | 2. | The ball can be teed up on the first swing of every hole | | 3. | The system will only allow it to be teed up again if the first ball went to a designated “out of bounds” O.B. area or a lateral hazard area | | 4. | If the ball went out of bounds O.B. it is stroke and distance and the ball will be re-hit from the same location. If it went into a staked area a one stroke lateral penalty is assessed and the system will drop the ball at the point of entry. | | 5. | Once the ball is hit, the system will count it as a stroke | | 6. | The igolping system will track the ball after each stroke, measure its distance from the i-Tee or i-Mat and it’s distance to the Pin. | | 7. | Once the ball hits the green and stays on the green the hole is over. | | 8. | Hitting greens within the amount of regulation strokes is based on whether the hole is a par 3, par 4 or par - Par 3 regulation = 1 Strokes
- Par 4 regulation = 2 Strokes
- Par 5 regulation = 3 Strokes
| | 9. | Scoring is based on how many strokes it took to hit the green using the regulation of the hole to determine how many strokes is par. When the green is hit within regulation and within specific distances the score for the hole is as follows: - Within 5ft of the pin the score is -1 for the hole
- Within 35ft of the pin the score is 0 for the hole
- Outside of 35ft of the pin the score is +1 for the hole
| | 10. | When the green is hit within regulation 3 holes in a row the 3rd hole and each sequential hole hit within regulation will have a score of -1 | | 11. | If the green is not hit within regulation the same procedure applies, each stroke is counted and scoring is as follows: - Within 5ft of the pin the score is the number of strokes plus one less the par rating for the hole. Example: If it takes 3 hits and the 3rd hit lands within 5 ft of the hole on a par 4 the score is par for the hole. That is 3 + 1 – 4 = 0
- Within 35ft of the pin the score is the number of strokes plus two less the par rating for the hole. With the above example, that is 3 + 2 – 4 = +1
- Outside of 35ft of the pin the score is the number of strokes plus three less the par rating for the hole. That would be 3 + 3 -4 = +2 (double bogey)
| | 12. | The igolping system will electronically track your entire round | | 13. | The igolping system, with video mode selected, will video every contact swing with the corresponding results. | | 14. | Each ball struck has ball flight, launch angle, trajectory, spin rate, speed, and distance and position relative to the course selected | | 15. | Based on game rounds and tournament rounds an IGOLPING index rating is maintained (see igolping iGHIN section for details) | Practice rounds, Mulligans, GameLocker
1. Only Practice Rounds allow for a mulligan on each shot and reviews of any shot 2. Game Rounds allow for review of the round after each 9 holes 3. Tournament Rounds allow for review of the round after the entire 18 holes is played 4. Each round can be saved to your GameLocker for later analysis 5. With a registered account your GameLocker can be made available over the internet 6. GameLocker can be made available to your PGA teaching professional for analysis and instruction |
